- General electrical theory
- Overview of the Hoist

The course is presented in a hands-on, no-nonsense, practical manner providing a comprehensive overview of the hoist. It will familiarise users and specifies with operational theory, design philosophy, safety aspects, internal workings and trouble-shooting methods of the Hoist.
The course is designed around maintenance rather than operation of hoists. It offers the chance to get dirty and completely strip a hoist down to its component parts and then re-build and operate it, thereby unravelling the mysteries of the machine in the process!
The Training School package includes lunch, light refreshments, 2 days training, instruction materials and Certificate of Attendance on completion of the course.

"I've been to my fair share of training days since being new to this industry and I can say hands down that Alan presented the best training I have ever received and I feel that I won't get better training like that for a long whole... maybe never!
In just a day I've learnt more about that actual mechanics of your hoists than I have in 10 months being in the game itself.
Many thanks to the whole of LTM who made this possible, it was a day that I would recommend to anyone and everyone.
Alan is an absolute credit to your team and is obviously a vital cog in the day to day running of LTM.
Thanks once again Alan, hopefully see you soon.
Thanks for making the time to organise this for us Ali."
